Today, every Harrington hoist shares some of the same heritage originally brought into being by Archimedes. But through the years, Harrington has constantly and consistently improved upon those principles. In fact, today's Harrington hoists are more compact, efficient, and easier to use than ever before, truly worthy representations of innovation at work. And research is leading Harrington engineers to even more remarkable engineering developments.
1976 was the centennial anniversary for the Harrington Company. 100 years before, Edwin Harrington purchased title to "letter patent" covering a wormgear hoist. This was the first improvement in a self-sustaining hoist since the Weston Differential hoist and a thriving business developed rapidly under the name Edwin Harrington & Son.
Harrington Hoists, Inc. manufactures lever hoists, hand chain hoists, electric chain hoists, cranes and crane assemblies to the same high quality standards, and continues to search for ways to make better products.
